What's it about?
Every day, regular Catholics ask a moral theologian their questions about the Catholic faith and serious contemporary issues hurting the church. A pastor and professor of moral theology answers the questions in a simple conversational manner.
About the Book:
In Twelve Tough Questions, Reverend O'Leary invites readers into a compassionate, human conversation about contemporary Catholic life. Using decades of theological scholarship, pastoral ministry, and lived experience in bases, parishes, universities, and hospitals, Fr. O'Leary addresses questions Catholics struggle with—from wounds of scandals to the mysteries of suffering, conscience, and human dignity. His reflections, written intimately through letters, provide clarity without judgment and faith that is both intellectually serious and pastorally tender.
Very Reverend David M. O'Leary, VF, S.T.L., D.Phil., was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Boston in 1985 and served the Church across a breadth of ministries, which included United States Air Force Reserve chaplain, where he rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Currently, Pastor of the Catholic Collaborative of Concord-Carlisle, he continues to walk with the people of God. The book is his invitation to all seekers—believers, doubters, and the curious—to engage faith with honesty, courage, and hope.
