DARK LAKE

Bill Gannon, a Texas pipeline engineer, finds himself stranded in what seems like an endless winter in Dark Lake, Minnesota. Eventually his boredom draws him to the Cove Lounge and into the aura of its beautiful owner, Kate Nelson, who he discovers is almost as mysterious as the fires someone is setting in the town. Kate stirs feelings in Gannon that he thought he’d lost forever, and as he falls for her he is drawn into the mysteries of Dark Lake and eventually a deadly confrontation with the man at the center of them all.

Richard Schinnow lives in the small town of Rock Falls, Iowa, which is located in the rolling countryside that informs much of his writing. He has previously published the novels Cast Away Stones, The Sea of Minnesota, and Time On The Water, and also wrote the screenplay for the motion picture Two Ways Home.
