In ‘Gateway to Deception,’ Major Logan Nelson comes home on a thirty-day leave from the Army to make sure justice is served for his younger sister, Megan, who has been murdered under suspicious circumstances.
Logan’s parents hire an old family friend’s detective agency to help solve Megan’s murder. When Logan goes to the P.I.’s address his father has provided, he realizes his dad’s friend has died, and his daughter, McKenzie ‘Mac’ Morgan, has taken over the business. This petite female P.I. doesn’t instill confidence that she can handle herself in a difficult situation, let alone solve Megan’s murder, but her gumption impresses him.
Logan decides he should assist Mac with the investigation, and it quickly becomes apparent that he is attracted to her.
Instead of finding helpful evidence, all they discover is more questions, and it appears more and more like there is a cover-up, but why?
Who could Megan have been involved with?
Mac’s life is threatened, and she is kidnapped. By whom and why?
Will Logan rescue her?
Does Mac learn to trust Logan and, more importantly, her feelings for him?
