Understanding Christianity: An Essay on My Personal Journey
This book starts with a little background on Christianity and takes you through my journey to a place where I feel comfortable in God’s grace. Through many years of bible studies, the people I have encountered from different parts of the world, and places I have traveled, my experiences have shaped my understanding of Jesus in a special way. By learning from other religions and different versions of Christianity, I have given much thought into what I have come to understand about what it means to be a Christian. Now I want to share a bit of my life story with others. My hope is that through some of my thoughts and ideas, you can also come to see Jesus in your own unique way.
If you are not already a Believer in Jesus, I suggest you start with Chapter VII – Experiences. Perhaps a story in there will make you want to know more. Or you can just dive right in and see what happens. I am sure you will encounter things you don’t agree with, but keep reading so you can see where I finally came around. It does take some of us years to feel comfortable being a Christian. I am not saying I fully understand it all…I don’t think anyone can. Even theologians argue over parts of the Bible. But I have come to know Jesus as my own Savior and that is the most important.
